Our Changing Weather
We all hear about how the weather is changing around the U.S., but what’s happening here in our own backyard? Extended drought and intense forest fires. Warmer winters and hotter summers. How will these changes affect me and my family? Is there anything we can do to prepare for these effects? On Tuesday, February 19, New Mexico State Climatologist, Dr. David DuBois, will discuss our past, present and projected weather, along with its implications for our area. The event will be at the WNMU Global Resource Center from 6:30 – 8:00pm. Please join us, and bring all your questions. For more information, contact Terry Timme at the Silver City Office of Sustainability. You can reach him at 519-8987.
