Swimming Pool Manager
The Town of Silver City is accepting applications for the position of Swimming Pool Manager.
Responsible for facility operations including staff, equipment, sanitary control of facility and water quality. Responsible for records including: personnel time; direct cost analysis; injuries and care given. Responsible for depositing money after daily operations. May perform regular lifeguard and swimming instructor duties. Supervises, trains and evaluates staff, schedules and assigns work hours. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION-MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of college with courses in Health, Physical Education, Recreation or related field preferred
3 seasons experience in supervision/management of swimming pool or related field
ABILITIES AND SKILLS-MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of water chemistry, pool filtration, circulation and chlorination, and chemical-free systems preferable. Ability to supervise a large group of personnel. Knowledge of program management, public needs, general pool practices, procedures for safe pool operations and good record keeping skills.
