Vacancies: Volunteer Historic Design Review Committee
The Mayor of the Town of Silver City is accepting applications to fill two (2) volunteer positions on the HISTORIC DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE. The open positions are for an architect member and a contractor member and must have experience in the modification or restoration of historic structures.

The Historic Design Review Committee’s main responsibilities include designating structures as Silver City Landmark Structures and consulting with owners of designated Landmark Structures to determine if proposed internal or external modifications will compromise the historical character of the structure. The Committee reviews building permits submitted for any structure in the four historic districts to determine compliance with the design standards of the Historic Overlay District. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in historic preservation. Terms are for two years.

Applications may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 101 W. Broadway, Silver City or on the Town’s website at www.townofsilvercity.org. To request an application by mail, fax or e-mail, call the Town Clerk at 534-6346.
