The water will be off on Pinos Altos Rd from Pine Street to Trapper Rd and on Pine Street from Swarthmore to Pinos Altos Rd. on Thursday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the tie-in of a new water main. Other areas that will be affected by the water outage are Ranch Club Rd., Thomas Ln., Cantada Mobile Home Park, Katheryne Circle and Cecilia Street. Vacancies: Volunteer Recycling Advisory Committee member
The Mayor of the Town of Silver City is accepting applications to fill three positions on the RECYCLING ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
The Committee advises the Town Council on all aspects of recycling, including but not limited to: (a) evaluating and enhancing recycling operations; (b) developing and implementing promotional and educational programs; (c) serving as a source for ideas, new concepts, suggestions and innovations in the field of recycling; and (d) review the operating plan and contract between the Town and the Southwest Solid Waste Authority, evaluating residential and commercial recycling services and processing center operation, collection operation and marketing plans.
The Committee consists of seven people acting in a voluntary capacity. At least five of the volunteers shall be Silver City residents or owners of businesses located in Silver City. Applicants should have an interest in recycling and preservation of our environment.
