Town Council Legal & Public Notices
This section provides an archive and record of recent and past Legal Notices for the Town Council, including notices for meetings and events that have already taken place:

Open Meetings Act Compliance
Public access to the proceedings and decision-making processes of governmental boards, agencies and commissions is an essential element of a properly functioning democracy. We believe strongly in open government. Meetings held by public officials to discuss public business, particularly when conducted with the public taxpayers’ money, are the taxpayers’ business. The Open Meetings Act is one of New Mexico’s 'good government' laws, and it deserves the full support of all New Mexicans.

Mayor's Message
Hello Friends,
I want to thank those of you who have joined in the battle against the COVID-19 virus. Stopping the spread of this virus must be our top priority as a community!

Thank you to all of our Health Care workers who are taking an active role in testing and preventing the virus spreading. You are on the front line in this effort. We appreciate your time, dedication, and effort in this endeavor.

We thank those in the food industry that have reached out to the community with various services that will provide essential food items to community members. We are grateful for your efforts to keep our community comfortable while helping to prevent the spread of this virus. Please remember, all of our local grocery stores are receiving several shipments each week so there is no need to over-buy or hoard. Some grocery stores are even offering home delivery.

By State order, restaurants, breweries and other food services must now close to dine-in customers. I encourage everyone to take advantage of the take-out and home-delivery service being offered by many of them. Our restaurants need our support now, more than ever.

Our small local businesses are the economic backbone of our community. A small business owner may even be your next-door neighbor and be actively engaged in supporting our community organizations in various activities. Now is your chance and opportunity to support them. By patronizing them during this difficult time, we can help to keep our economy strong and sustainable.

Remember this! Our community has a long history of successfully meeting challenges and coming out stronger than before. When we work together and do our part to help each other and do what has been asked of us, we will, together, help prevent the spread of this virus in our community.

Thank You and God Bless.

Mayor Ken Ladner
