    The Town of Silver City wishes to inform all interested parties that public meetings will be held at 1203 N. Hudson St., Silver City, NM the following dates, times and locations:

    The purpose of these meetings is to seek input from the citizens of the Town of Silver City on projects for inclusion in a local infrastructure capital improvement plan, a plan that establishes planning priorities for anticipated capital projects.  

    Capital projects may include but are not limited to the following areas: Administrative Facilities, Clean Energy, Streets, Roads, Sidewalks, Curbs, Gutters, Bridges, and Bicycle Facilities, Housing, Sewer Collection and Treatment, Storm and Surface Water Control, Water, Solid Waste, Public Utilities, Transit, Airports, Parks and Trails, Land and Site Acquisition, Community Service Facilities, Public Safety and Emergency, Libraries, Renovation, and Regional Projects.

    The plan incorporates policy direction, funding time frames, estimated costs, justifications, and the details of each specific infrastructure capital improvement project proposed, by year, for a 5-year period.

    The Town of Silver City is proposing a Map Amendment/Zone Change for numerous tracts of land in the Silver City and North Addition Historic Overlay Districts. The proposal is to amend the Official Zoning Map for those properties from Residential A to Historic Downtown Commercial zoning district. The map amendment/zone change includes:
    • Blocks 175, 176, and 177 of the Fraser Survey of the Townsite of Silver City;
    • Lots 2, 4, and 6 of Block 201 of the Fraser Survey of the Townsite of Silver City;
    • Lots 1, 2, 3, and 5 of Block 202 of the Fraser Survey of the Townsite of Silver City;
    • The south 43 feet of Lot 4, the east 26.4 feet of the north 7 feet of Lot 4, and the east 26.4 feet of Lot 6 of Block 202 of the Fraser Survey of the Townsite of Silver City; and
    • Lots 1, 3, 5, and 7 of Block 203 of the Fraser Survey of the Townsite of Silver City.
