Overview

Silver City’s Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board provides guidance and assistance to the Town Council as it allocates the Town’s portion of lodgers’ tax collected within the Town.

The Advisory Board includes five members appointed by the Mayor. Learn more about it in Town Code Chapter 44 (PDF) and Ordinances 961 (PDF) and 1213 (PDF).

Members

Two members of the board must be owners/operators of lodgings subject to the lodgers’ tax within the Town. Two members must be owners/operators of industries located within the Town that primarily provide services or products to tourists. One member must be a resident of Silver City to represent the general public.

Open Positions

There are currently three open positions on the Lodgers Tax Advisory Board for a lodging member and two industry members.
