Saturday, September 10, when Stephen Fox, PhD, presents "Voting Rights and Voting Wrongs: The Background Story of Voting in New Mexico." Dr. Fox will discuss how Silver City civic leader Annette Kinyon worked with the Silver City Women’s Club to help secure the vote. These early suffrage efforts created a foundation for the many women in political leadership in New Mexico today.  Following Dr. Fox's remarks, a panel discussion with audience members will consider current voting laws and efforts to curb voting rights, just as the nation approaches the November mid-term election.
